At Philip Gould Fine Furniture commissioning is a large part of the business. Clients often have requests: specific dimensions, specialised pieces, particular woods, etc.
The Client can have as much or as little input into the design and timber selection as they like. Most budgets can be accommodated - economy to luxury.
The process for commissioning a piece or pieces of furniture starts with a meeting being organised where we will discuss your concepts and requirements with an initial estimate of price range. This meeting can be held at the Showroom in Mollymook or Nowra, or in your home or office.
Several basic designs in the way of sketches will be provided for you to choose from. Then timber selection, modifications and exact measurements are decided upon.
A scale model is created for more complicated pieces such as chairs to ensure both parties are clear on the visual impact of the piece. *Please note that there are no charges for any work at this stage.
When you are pleased with the design, a firm price and estimate of time until completion is given. A deposit is taken at this time.
